About Trail Range

A product cannot reach the market ahead of its documentation.

Eleven stages run from market need to product improvement, and every gate closes before the next opens. The rule binds our own catalog first: several Trail Range products are on hold today, and their records say so plainly rather than quietly.

Practical needs. Clear product direction. Accountable execution.

Trail Range translates needs identified by animal owners, care operators, retailers, producers and industry partners into clearly positioned products and enduring brands.

What holds that together is a refusal to let a product outrun what can be supported about it. A guaranteed analysis comes from assay of finished production batches, so until batches exist the figures are development targets and are labelled as such. An immunoglobulin figure is measured in calves, so until that trial runs the field stays blank. Nothing is rounded up to sound finished.

Trail Mutts is the first flagship brand demonstrating the model across dogcare, nutrition, wellness and consumer products. FirstLight extends the portfolio toward neonatal livestock health within the RangeStart early-life family. Trail Range Grid is the common enterprise information layer being built behind both.

Our Company

Trail Range Animal Nutrition & Health.

An independent animal nutrition and health enterprise in West Texas. We develop and scale brands across companion-animal and livestock markets, and we build the product, quality, supply, distribution and commerce infrastructure those brands run on — so a brand can stay focused on its own market while the discipline underneath it stays common.

What we are building toward

A focused family of brands, not a catalog.

Two are in development today. Trail Mutts covers companion-animal nutrition, treats, supplements and dogcare. FirstLight addresses neonatal livestock health within the RangeStart early-life family. Each keeps its own identity, channel and pack architecture, because a brand that has to speak to two markets speaks clearly to neither.

Underneath both, one source of truth: formulas, suppliers, quality records, inventory, wholesale relationships and financial performance operating from common records rather than reconciled spreadsheets. That is what Trail Range Grid is, and it is being built now.

How we work

Commercial readiness before commercial launch.

Eleven stages run from market need to product improvement, and each gate closes before the next opens. It is deliberately inconvenient: it is the reason several products in our own catalog are held today, and the reason their records say so.

We coordinate formulation, testing, manufacturing and logistics with qualified specialist partners. What Trail Range holds is the specification and the standard it is checked against — which is the part that cannot be outsourced.

Our commitments

Five rules we are willing to be held to.

Each names a control that already runs against our own catalog. They are listed so a partner can check us against them rather than take our word for it.

  1. 01

We publish what a source does not establish.

Every entry in the evidence register carries three fields: what it covers, what it supports, and separately what it does not establish. The third field is the one that governs what may be said, so it is never omitted. Read the register →

  2. 02

A number appears only once it has been measured.

A guaranteed analysis is derived from assay of finished production batches. No batch has been made, so every figure on this site is the value a formula is built to — labelled as a development target, not presented as a result.

  3. 03

    A blank is a specification.

Where a figure cannot yet be established, the field stays empty and the reason is recorded. An immunoglobulin absorption figure is measured in calves; until that is measured it is blank. A plausible number is not a specification.

  4. 04

Every product carries a claim ceiling.

Not what we may say — what we may not. It is written before the marketing copy and does not relax as the paperwork completes, because a regulatory limit is not a documentation gap. See one on any product record →

  5. 05

Products on hold say so, on their own pages.

Held products are not quietly removed from the catalog until they look ready. They stay published with the reason stated, because a partner evaluating us should be able to see what we have not finished.
